How we work

1. Primary sources first

   Filings, model cards, papers, earnings calls and on-record interviews come before secondary reports. When a claim rests on a single unnamed source, the story says so.

2. Named bylines

   Every story is written by a working journalist and signed. The team page lists who reports for The Latent and links to each reporter’s archive.

3. Corrections in the open

   Material errors are corrected on the story with a dated note. The corrections policy explains how to report one and what happens next.

Ownership and independence

Publisher

The Latent is owned and published by Block Bond Holdings, Inc., the company that also operates The Block.

Sister publication

The Latent and The Block are sister publications covering the AI and digital asset industries respectively. They are related but distinct newsrooms, and the relationship is disclosed wherever it is relevant to a story.

Editorial independence

Advertisers, sponsors and story subjects do not see coverage before publication and do not influence what is reported. Our editorial standards and commercial policy set out the rules.

Commercial content
