Just a week after its public launch, Meta's personal AI agent seems to be pretty popular.
Muse is the top free app on Apple's App Store. The agent can send emails, book travel, fill out forms and negotiate for users, the company said. Muse can also turn saved Instagram recipe reels into grocery lists and make purchases with approval.
"It’s been SO exciting to see how much y’all have done with Muse," said Alexandr Wang, Meta's chief AI officer. "We can’t wait to do more together!"
Mizuho analysts described Muse as "more promising than expected," and said it could increase pressure on Google and online travel agencies.
"We believe the deployment of Muse, particularly if it quickly shows success in App Stores, can drive META shares higher," the analysts wrote in a Sept. 9 note to clients.
Meta delayed shipping Muse for several months to focus on safety and security, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said earlier this week.
"We didn't call for everyone else to do this before we would. We just did it as part of our day-to-day work because it was clearly the right thing for people and for us," Zuckerberg said.
Not to be outdone, OpenAI's ChatGPT claims the second spot in the App Store rankings.
