Hadrian, an agentic AI offensive security platform, has raised $40 million in a funding round co-led by Forgepoint Capital International and SmartFin.

Existing investors HV Capital, Motive Partners, Picus Capital, and Oetker Ventures also participated in the round, which took Hadrian's total fundraising to $65 million.

In a statement on Tuesday, the firm said it will use the fresh capital to expand across EMEA and the U.S. and deepen investment in its engineering and research teams.

The raise comes as artificial intelligence increasingly changes the cybersecurity threat landscape, with Hadrian pointing to attackers' growing use of the technology to automate hacking operations.

Mapping companies' attack surfaces

Hadrian seeks to combat this threat by using AI agents to continuously map companies' attack surfaces and test which vulnerabilities hackers could actually exploit.

The company claims this results in 10 times greater visibility into critical exposures, an 80% faster time to resolution, and five times the return on investment compared to manual pentesting.

"Everyone can see that AI is changing the threat landscape. It might also hold the answer, but most people are focused on automating the wrong bits," Hadrian CEO Rogier Fischer said. "We have been working with LLMs since before they went mainstream, and we know that AI can work much faster than any human offensive security team."

Hadrian said it works with companies across the U.S. and Europe, including McKesson, NBCUniversal, Francisco Partners, TotalEnergies, Amadeus, Leroy Merlin, and Damen Shipyards.
