OpenAI and Google Cloud have partnered to bring OpenAI's frontier models and Codex agentic workflows into Google Cloud's Model Garden.

The integration will allow enterprise customers to access the models at scale in an environment where they already work, OpenAI said Wednesday.

In a separate statement, Google Cloud said it is the only hyperscale cloud provider offering access to all three leading closed-source LLMs on a unified enterprise AI platform.

"We are focused on giving customers a broad selection of models, including those from OpenAI, so they can choose the right model for any given job, helping to deliver optimal quality and lower costs," Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said.

Greater enterprise control

OpenAI said organizations in regulated industries need control over who can access sensitive data and how it is used when deploying AI. The partnership will pair OpenAI's frontier models with Google Cloud's built-in access controls, centralized data governance and high-performance infrastructure as a solution to this, it said.

"Google Cloud is a leading platform for developers and businesses building AI agents, writing software, and putting AI to work," OpenAI co-founder and President Greg Brockman said. "This partnership is an important step in making our most capable models and Codex available where customers are already building, giving them even more choice in how they use frontier AI as we grow the agentic ecosystem together."

Google Cloud customers will be able to purchase OpenAI's frontier models via Model Garden, with transactions handled through Google Cloud Marketplace.

OpenAI's models will also become available in Google Antigravity and the Gemini Agent in the coming weeks, the company said, giving enterprise customers more choice over which models to use for each task.
