CleanSpark has named Meta as the previously unnamed tech giant behind its $6.6 billion, 20-year AI data center lease at its Sandersville, Georgia, site.
The bitcoin miner-turned-digital infrastructure company identified the customer as Facebook parent Meta in an investor presentation filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday. This comes roughly two months after first announcing the agreement.
The 175-megawatt Sandersville AI campus is leased to a company called Anviran LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Meta Platforms, while Meta will serve as the guarantor of rent and operating expenses, according to the presentation. CleanSpark said the facility will "support Meta’s growing AI, data-processing and communications requirements."
The lease is worth roughly $6.6 billion in contracted payments over an initial 20-year term. CleanSpark said it expects the first delivery on the contract in Q4 of 2027 and previously noted that there were two five-year extension options built into the contract that could push the total value upwards of $11.6 billion if exercised.
CleanSpark also revealed that its subsidiary, CSDC Finance I LLC, plans to raise around $2.23 billion through a senior secured note private offering due in 2031. The company estimates development costs for the 175 MW Sandersville campus at roughly $11.9 million per MW, or about $2.08 billion in total.
CleanSpark said in July that the same tenant also entered into an exclusivity deal covering its entire 885 MW Texas portfolio, but it was not mentioned in the latest presentation. Last week, CleanSpark said ERCOT conditionally classified 585 MW of that capacity as baseload and the remaining 300 MW as studied load under its Batch Zero process.
CLSK shares rose roughly 6% to $13.54 on Thursday. The stock is up more than 17% year to date, but remains about 28% below its $18.81 close in early June.
