Micron Quarterly Revenue by Memory Technology

Micron's quarterly GAAP revenue by reported technology—DRAM, NAND and Other, primarily NOR—in USD billions. It shows memory-cycle demand and supplier scale; HBM is included within DRAM but not disclosed separately, so neither DRAM nor total revenue is a pure AI metric.

Key takeaway

In Q3 FY2026, Micron reported $31.328 billion of DRAM revenue, $9.943 billion of NAND revenue and $0.185 billion of Other revenue. DRAM includes AI-linked HBM alongside broader memory sales, so the chart tracks technology mix rather than AI-only revenue.

Methodology

The chart uses Micron's GAAP Revenue by Technology table in Forms 10-Q and 10-K. DRAM, NAND and Other (primarily NOR) are Micron's reported technology categories; they are not operating segments or market-share estimates.

Quarterly values are taken directly from the filing's quarter column for fiscal Q1 through Q3. Fiscal Q4 values are exact quarter-only derivations: the annual technology amount in the Form 10-K minus the corresponding nine-month amount in that year's Q3 Form 10-Q. The Q4 notes disclose each subtraction, and both filings are listed as sources.

Micron reports each amount in millions of U.S. dollars. Values are divided by 1,000 and displayed to three decimal places in USD billions, preserving the source's nearest-million precision. This is a unit conversion only; no percentage-based reconstruction, interpolation, currency conversion or estimate is used.

Other revenue is retained as its own stack and is never allocated to DRAM or NAND. For every quarter, the three technology values reconcile exactly to Micron's reported total revenue at the source's million-dollar precision.

Dates are Micron's exact fiscal quarter-end dates. Micron's fiscal year is the 52- or 53-week period ending on the Thursday closest to August 31, so fiscal quarters do not align exactly with calendar quarters.

The series begins with Q2 FY2023, ended March 2, 2023, because the requested range starts in calendar 2023. It runs through Q3 FY2026, ended May 28, 2026, the latest reported quarter available as of August 27, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What was Micron's latest DRAM and NAND revenue?

For Q3 FY2026, ended May 28, 2026, Micron reported $31.328 billion of DRAM revenue and $9.943 billion of NAND revenue. It separately reported $0.185 billion of Other revenue, primarily NOR.

Does the DRAM series represent HBM or AI revenue?

No. High-bandwidth memory is a type of DRAM, but Micron's filing table reports one combined DRAM technology category. The chart cannot separate HBM, data-center DRAM or other AI-linked sales from mobile, PC, automotive and other DRAM.

Why do these technology revenues matter for AI hardware?

AI accelerators require HBM and systems also use DRAM and NAND, making Micron's technology revenue a useful indicator of memory demand, mix and cyclicality. Revenue reflects price and volume together and does not directly measure bits shipped, capacity or AI demand.

Is Other revenue included in DRAM or NAND?

No. Other revenue, which Micron describes as primarily NOR, is a separate series. It is shown only so the stacked bars reconcile to total company revenue and is never reassigned to DRAM or NAND.

Are any quarterly values estimated from rounded percentages?

No. The chart uses exact million-dollar amounts from Micron's filing tables. Q4 values are arithmetic differences between exact annual and nine-month technology amounts, not estimates based on percentages.

Why are some fourth-quarter values described as derived?

Micron's Form 10-K reports full-year technology revenue while the preceding Q3 Form 10-Q reports the first nine months. Subtracting the nine-month amount from the annual amount yields the exact fourth-quarter amount at the same nearest-million reporting precision.

Why do Micron's quarter-end dates move from year to year?

Micron uses a 52- or 53-week fiscal year ending on the Thursday closest to August 31. The chart therefore uses exact filing period-end dates and Micron fiscal-quarter labels rather than calendar-quarter endpoints.

Can these values be compared directly with another memory supplier?

Only cautiously. Micron's GAAP technology categories, fiscal calendar and product mix may differ from another supplier's accounting and disclosures. The values are most comparable over time within Micron and should not be treated as market size or market share.
