NVIDIA Quarterly Inventory
NVIDIA's companywide net inventory balance at each fiscal quarter end in USD billions, covering raw materials, work in process and finished goods. It indicates supply-ramp scale and working-capital risk, but is not AI inventory, shipments, available capacity or end-customer demand.
NVIDIA Quarterly Inventory
NVIDIA reported total inventory of $31.6 at 2026-07-26, compared with $11.3 at the prior fiscal quarter end.
Methodology
This series uses NVIDIA's balance-sheet Inventories line item, corresponding to the SEC XBRL concept us-gaap:InventoryNet, at each fiscal quarter end. It is a point-in-time asset balance, not inventory purchased, sold, shipped or expensed during the quarter.
Every observation comes from an NVIDIA Form 10-Q or Form 10-K filed with the SEC. Quarter-end totals are cross-checked against the inventories footnote, where NVIDIA breaks total inventory into raw materials, work in process and finished goods.
NVIDIA reports these balances in millions of U.S. dollars. Each value is divided by 1,000 to express it in USD billions, preserving the filing's exact nearest-million precision as three decimal places. No inflation adjustment, currency conversion, interpolation or estimate is applied.
Fiscal labels follow NVIDIA's 52- or 53-week year ending on the last Sunday in January. Dates are the exact balance-sheet dates: for example, January 25, 2026 is Q4 FY2026, while April 26 and July 26, 2026 are Q1 and Q2 FY2027. Annual Form 10-K balances are labeled Q4 because they are the fiscal fourth-quarter endpoints.
The series begins with Q4 FY2023, the fiscal year-end balance dated January 29, 2023, and includes every subsequently reported quarter through Q2 FY2027, the latest filing available as of August 27, 2026.
Frequently asked questions
What was NVIDIA's latest reported inventory?
NVIDIA reported $31.575 billion of total inventory as of July 26, 2026, the end of Q2 FY2027, in its Form 10-Q filed on August 26, 2026.
What does NVIDIA inventory include?
The reported total comprises raw materials, work in process and finished goods. This chart uses the net total inventory balance shown on NVIDIA's balance sheet, not any one inventory component.
Why is NVIDIA inventory relevant to the AI supply chain?
Building accelerator platforms requires chips, boards, networking components and systems at different production stages, so inventory can indicate the scale of a product ramp and capital committed to supply. NVIDIA reports one companywide balance, however, not AI- or product-specific inventory.
Why do NVIDIA's fiscal-quarter labels differ from calendar quarters?
NVIDIA uses a 52- or 53-week fiscal year ending on the last Sunday in January. The chart therefore labels each exact Sunday quarter-end date with NVIDIA's fiscal quarter and year; January 25, 2026, for example, is Q4 FY2026.
Are the inventory values estimated or rounded?
They are exact at NVIDIA's reported precision. NVIDIA files inventory in millions of U.S. dollars, and the chart divides each amount by 1,000, so $31,575 million appears as $31.575 billion.
Does a higher inventory balance mean NVIDIA sold more products?
Not by itself. Inventory is a point-in-time balance of goods and materials held at quarter end. Revenue, shipments, purchases, production timing and inventory provisions can all affect it, so it should not be interpreted as a direct sales measure.
How do accounting provisions affect comparability?
Inventory is reported net of accounting adjustments such as provisions for excess, obsolete or low-yield material. Changes can therefore reflect write-downs and product transitions as well as physical stock. Accounting judgments, product mix and fiscal dates also limit direct comparisons with peers.
