TSMC Monthly Revenue

TSMC's consolidated monthly net revenue in USD billions, converted from reported NT$ millions using official monthly NTD/USD averages. It is a timely gauge of companywide foundry demand and capacity loading across customers and technologies, not a measure of AI-chip revenue, wafer volume or utilization.

Methodology

Each observation is TSMC's consolidated net revenue for the named calendar month. January 2023 through July 2026 were transcribed from the company's official annual monthly-revenue pages, which report NT$ millions. From August 2026 each new month is read from TSMC's own monthly revenue filing as published by the Taiwan Stock Exchange open-data service, which reports NT$ thousands; the exchange figure is cross-checked against the prior month already in the chart before it is added.

Chart values are expressed in USD billions by dividing the reported NT$ amount by the official monthly NTD/USD average from the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Native NT$ values and the applied rate are retained in each CSV note, and every USD value is recomputed from them on each check; the conversion is not an estimate of TSMC's own reporting currency.

The converted line makes cross-company scale easier to read but combines operating changes with exchange-rate movements. For an accounting-faithful reading, consult the native NT$ value preserved in each point note.

The Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) monthly NTD/USD series uses the geometric mean of interbank closing rates for the month’s business days. Those official monthly rates are applied point by point.

Timestamps are calendar month-end dates at 00:00:00 UTC. A month is added only once both the exchange filing and the central-bank monthly rate are published, usually about a week after TSMC's own release; nothing is estimated in the meantime.

No guidance, forecasts, interpolation, inflation adjustment or estimated values are included. TSMC labels current-year monthly figures unaudited.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does TSMC monthly revenue measure?

It is TSMC's consolidated net revenue for each calendar month, reported in New Taiwan dollars and shown here in USD billions. It covers the whole company across customers, process nodes, products and end markets.

What was TSMC's latest monthly revenue?

The latest point on the chart is the most recent month TSMC has filed with the Taiwan Stock Exchange and for which the central bank has published its monthly exchange rate. Its point note gives the native NT$ amount, the rate and the source.

Why is companywide TSMC revenue relevant to AI hardware?

TSMC manufactures many leading AI accelerators and related chips, so its revenue is a timely indicator of demand reaching a critical foundry. However, TSMC does not identify monthly AI revenue, and sales also include smartphones, automotive, consumer and other semiconductors.

How should month-to-month changes be interpreted?

Changes can reflect wafer demand, pricing, process and customer mix, shipment timing, seasonality and foreign-currency movements translated into NT$. Revenue is not a direct measure of wafer starts, fab utilization, physical output or available advanced-packaging capacity.

How were TSMC values converted to U.S. dollars?

TSMC reports in New Taiwan dollars. The chart converts each month’s reported NT$ amount to USD billions using the official Taiwan central-bank monthly NTD/USD average; the native amount and applied rate remain in the point note.

Why can the newest month appear a few days after TSMC announces it?

TSMC announces monthly revenue around the 10th. The chart adds a month from the company's exchange filing, which the Taiwan Stock Exchange open-data service publishes several days later, and only once the central bank's monthly NTD/USD average is available. No value is estimated in between.

Are the monthly revenue figures audited?

TSMC marks current-year monthly figures as unaudited. The chart reproduces the company's official monthly disclosures and does not substitute later estimates.

How are the values sourced and converted?

Historical points were transcribed from TSMC's official monthly-revenue pages; newer points come from TSMC's monthly revenue filing on the Taiwan Stock Exchange open-data service. Reported NT$ amounts are converted to USD billions with the official monthly NTD/USD average; the source-native amount, rate, and source URL are retained in the point note. No interpolation or inflation adjustment is applied.

Can this series be compared directly with other chipmakers' revenue?

Only with care. TSMC reports consolidated foundry revenue under its own accounting basis, currency and calendar, while designers and memory makers have different business models, fiscal periods, product mixes and revenue-recognition patterns.
