Meta has expanded its Muse AI agent to small businesses with connectors for QuickBooks, Canva, Shopify, Stripe, Slack, Zoom, and more than a dozen other work platforms.

In a statement on Tuesday, the social media giant said that businesses can also connect Muse to Facebook Pages, Instagram professional account analytics, and Meta ad accounts. The agent can work with a company’s brand, storefront, books, and customer records but will require human approval before executing financial or public-facing tasks.

"You’re in control: nothing publishes, sends, or spends without your approval," the company wrote.

Meta built the small business tier on the premise that owners are "short on hours, not ideas," it said. Muse is free for most of what users need, with subscription plans for heavier use.

"AI gets a lot more interesting when it can actually do the work," said Shaun Clark, founder and CEO of HighLevel, one of the connector partners. "Meta is building a really capable agent, and HighLevel gives it a place to actually get things done for a business: talk to leads, book appointments, update customer information, all of it."

The rollout comes a day after the company launched Meta Enterprise Platform, a broader effort to bring its AI stack to businesses and developers.

The platform includes Muse, alongside Meta Business Agent, Muse API, and Muse Code. Meta named former MongoDB President and CEO Chirantan “CJ” Desai as chief enterprise platform officer to lead the effort.

Muse launched earlier this month in the U.S. and Canada. Zuckerberg previously said Meta had delayed the agent's launch for several months while it focused on safety and security. The company said Tuesday that more connectors and skills are planned for the small-business version of the agent.
